  8. *** Installation ***
  9.  
  10.     If you received this version of WinZip on a floppy disk please
  11.     follow the instructions on the disk label to install WinZip.
  12.  
  13.     If you received this version of WinZip in a self-extracting
  14.     ZIP file (for example, WINZIP95.EXE), you can install it as
  15.     follows:
  16.  
  17.     * On Windows 95:  select Run from the Taskbar Start menu, type
  18.       the full name of the file (e.g.,  C:\DNLOAD\WINZIP95.EXE),
  19.       press the Enter key, and follow the prompts.
  20.  
  21.     * On Windows 3.1 or Windows NT:  activate the Program Manager,
  22.       select Run from the File menu, type the full name of the
  23.       file (for example, C:\DNLOAD\WINZIP95.EXE), press the Enter
  24.       key, and follow the prompts.

  26.     When the SETUP program completes you can delete the WinZip
  27.     files in your temporary directory.

  29.     If you received this version of WinZip in a ZIP file, first
  30.     extract the files to a blank floppy, then activate the Program
  31.     Manager, select Run from the File menu, type A:SETUP, press
  32.     the Enter key, and follow the prompts.

  34. *** Upgrade Instructions ***

  36.     Follow the installation instructions above.  You can install
  37.     this version of WinZip to the same location as a previously
  38.     installed copy of WinZip.

  40. *** Requirements ***

  42.     The Windows 3.1 version requires Windows 3.1 or Windows for
  43.     Workgroups.  The Win32 version requires Windows 95 or Windows
  44.     NT 3.5 or later.  Some optional features require external
  45.     programs.  See the documentation for details.

  49.     For full documentation, including context sensitive help,
  50.     press the F1 key at any time while running WinZip.

  52. *** Win32 Version ***

  54.     Win32 users please read the section titled "WinZip for
  55.     Windows NT" or "WinZip for Windows 95" in the online help
  56.     for important notes on long filenames.

  58. *** Self-Extracting Archives ***

  60.     The evaluation "BBS" version of WinZip is distributed as a
  61.     Windows self-extracting ZIP file.  You can use "WinZip
  62.     Self-Extractor", an optional add-on product, to create
  63.     self-extracting ZIP files.  You can download an evaluation
  64.     version of WinZip Self-Extractor as WZIPSE10.EXE.

  95.     Some files are distributed with a trailing underscore or
  96.     dollar sign at the end of the filename.  The underscore or
  97.     dollar sign is replaced with the appropriate character by the
  98.     SETUP program.  For example, WINZIP.HL_ becomes WINZIP.HLP.
